When Tamsin Chapman and Kate Franklin first met at a festival they were dismayed by line ups consisting largely of "blokes with beards."

Upon their return to Brighton they started talking to various friends they met at gigs to form a group to redress the balance.

Since forming in 2013,  the band have been hailed by The Quietus,  and have shared line ups with Prolapse and feminist icon Kathleen Hanna.

Julian Paszkiewicz sat down with Slum of Legs ahead of a gig at the Hope & Ruin to talk tables,  politics and the Mediaeval Baebes.

Brighton's DIY scene is not all rock'n'roll.  But that need not be a bad thing.

Making music under the name of Lutine, Heather Minor and Emma Morton mix esoteric influences to craft a unique folk minimalism.

Their debut album White Flowers has led to support slots with drone metal guitarist Stephen O'Malley and Colchester's Dead Rat Orhcestra.

BNDIY caught up with the pair after a performance in Lewes to talk about the process of picking a band names, inspiration and collecting instruments.
